As a family business, A20 Traffic Solutions are committed to building a great team environment with high retention. Our workforce is split into Management and Traffic Control, with close to 130 staff employed.


A20’s management team are traffic management veterans, with over 70 years’ combined experience between them.

Jim Bowe – Director

Jim Bowe previously started a traffic management company in South Australia in 1997 and has been in the industry ever since. Jim moved to Townsville in 2008 and purchased a local owned & operated traffic management provider.

David Bowe – General Manager

David is responsible for the strategic direction of the business while focusing on innovation and enhanced customer service. David has had a lot of experience in planning and traffic management consulting on major projects across the country. Having worked for some of the largest traffic control companies in the country, David is passionate about adding value to clients and ensuring great customer service. David’s currently undertaking an MBA and is a qualified Traffic Management Designer and an OH&S on Site Supervisor.

James Bowe – Cairns Manager

With extensive experience in sales, marketing and business management, James rounds out the A20 Management team. James manages the growth and continual expansion of A20 in far North Queensland, as well as our Hire Division. James managers the operations in far North Queensland from A2O Traffic Cairns offices, James has the industry experience and the vision to make A20 Traffic Solutions the leading traffic management company in North Queensland.

Ronald Brom – Operations Manager

Coming from a successful manufacturing and production background Ron also has extensive experience in Traffic Management. He is responsible for overseeing all operations of the business with a strong focus on service delivery.

  • Accredited Traffic Controller
  • Certificate of Engineering – Civil
  • Works Manager

Ricky Growden – Planning & Systems Coordinator

Ricky has vast experience in civil construction and work with Rio Tinto in Weipa for 4 years where he gained valuable HR and WHS experience. Ricky is responsible for A2O integrated management system compliance as well as the design of Traffic Guidance Schemes and Traffic Management Plans.

Steve Dietz – Bookings Officer & Supervisor

Steve has been a Traffic Manager on two large scale projects over the last 4 years where he was responsible for up to 35 staff. His experience on the road is unparalleled and adds a great deal of value to the team. Steve is responsible for allocating staff and vehicles to jobs as well as general site supervision. You will be sure to see him out and about ensuring your project goes as smoothly as possible.


Our management team are supported by a dedicated Administration Officer to ensure a consistent customer experience and invoices are processed without delay.


Our Traffic Control team are fully accredited to a minimum of Level 2 in traffic management implementation. All of our traffic controllers receive a thorough induction and competency based assessment prior to employment. This give A2O’s clients peace of mind knowing the person on their job is capable, knowledgeable and professional.

A2O Traffic Solutions understands that often it is the traffic controllers who are the face of the site and therefore must be polite and well presented. This is covered in details within A2Os company inductions and values.
